About Me
Who is ‘The Legacy Producer’?
I am Astrid Greve Spencer, a former TV journalist who spent 15+ years deciding who was worth watching — and then, I switched sides.
My message to you:
Visibility doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s produced, the same way a television broadcast is — with intention, structure, and the right instincts.
The Back Story
For much of my career, I called the shots behind the camera. As a TV news executive producer for ABC7 Chicago and other stations, my job was to make decisions — every single day — about which stories mattered, which executives were credible, and which voices were worth putting in front of millions of viewers.
I watched brilliant people fail the test of having their message land. Not because they lacked expertise — but because they lacked the tools to communicate it.
And I watched less-qualified people pass the test — because they understood message, presence, and storytelling in a way their peers didn’t.
That gap bothered me — so I’ve set out to change it.

About Us Media LLC
The Pivot
When I left broadcasting, I brought my journalistic instincts with me.
First to PR agency and corporate communications roles — at Wolters Kluwer, AkzoNobel, KemperLesnik — where I saw what it looks like from the inside: the executives who get heard and the ones who don’t, the messages that land and the ones that disappear.
Then I started About Us Media LLC — because I wanted to spend my time doing the work I care most about: helping executives build the professional presence their expertise deserves.
Not through PR spin, but through clarity, strategy, and the communication tools that actually change how people perceive and remember you.
My Mission
Your reputation is the most valuable professional asset you have. It’s also the one most executives spend the least time actively building. That’s where I come in to work with you — because clarity is a competitive advantage.
My mission is to provide you with the tools, resources, and inspiration to build a legacy beyond your résumé.
Executives want to know that their work continues to matter beyond their role — all the way into retirement. What keeps them up at night isn’t only financial; they fear that decades of hard-won knowledge will fade away when they leave.
Legacy is the answer to a deep question:
did my time here matter?
Think about it like this: your résumé records what you did, but your legacy is about what you made possible for others.
So, how do I help you produce your legacy? At the center of it is good storytelling that draws in the audience — gets them excited about listening to you.
My core belief: facts inform, but stories transform. I work with you to tell your story in a way that’s authentic, strategic, and memorable — not for vanity, but for impact.
